記得去年初在法鼓大學帶一人一故事劇團時，我會邀請大家在開始團練之前，頌念《慈經》。對我來說，《慈經》是一種祝福，一種安定心靈的力量。進入天災頻傳的時代，願眾生無危險，無敵意，遠離身體的痛苦，遠離精神的痛苦，願眾生身心皆得安樂！

如果您願意，請讓我們一同為受苦的朋友們祈禱，用您熟悉的方式，或您深信的宗教方法，或者，您願意試一試南傳佛教中古典的祝願，讓我們一同唸誦《慈經》，安定自己的心，也將慈愛的祝福傳送出去。

Metta Sutta，是巴利文，意謂著慈愛。持誦慈經，能將慈心傳遞給一切眾生：願他們都能快樂且寧定。持誦慈經能夠撫慰人心、使人喜悅，並且對這個世界有著美妙的療癒—使整個世界都能浸潤在愛的波動中。真切地讓所有眾生得享快樂。讓他們永遠活在寧定與和諧之中。

The Chant of Metta Text 慈經

Aham avero homi／May I be free from enmity and danger
願我遠離一切敵意與危險
abyapajjho homi／May I be free from mental suffering
願我遠離一切心理的痛苦
anigho homi／May I be free from physical suffering
願我遠離一切身體的痛苦
